A new independent non-profit arts organization has been created in New Prague to promote the arts, provide scholarships to fine arts students and provide family entertainment options for the community and area.
The New Prague Arts Foundation (NPAF) received its 501c3 tax-exempt status from the IRS in January of 2025 and is a fully registered state non-profit organization. Its chair, Den Gardner, said the organization is off and running and will hold its first organizational meeting in late April.
“We are an organization independent from any public body in the community, such as the city or school district,” said Gardner. “Our objective is to provide programming, scholarships and support to meet the arts needs of the community – be that music, theatre, dance, speech, visual arts and more.
“This is a very exciting time for the arts in New Prague,” Gardner added. “Being an independent, non-profit organization with tax-exempt status will allow us the flexibility to do many projects that currently can’t be undertaken in the community. This is a great time to be part of this exciting new organization and help make New Prague the place to be to encourage the arts and make it an important part of your life.”
